Africa 2010

This is our Africa team!  We leave May 17th.  First we fly to Johannesburg, South Africa, then to Nairobi, Kenya where we take buses into Uganda and back around to Tanzania after that.  Mid-July it’s Nairobi through Istanbul, Turkey and back down to Casablanca.  Finally, the whole school converges on Jerusalem for debrief and graduation August 12th.  I guess with these around the world tickets, it’s cheaper to fly on Turkish Airlines-hence the stop in Turkey.  I thought it would be better to try posting some pictures and ministry reports as we go instead of trying to predict and forcast what will happen.  If Africa is anything like India, I’m guessing it’s fairly chaotic, so it’s best to be flexible.

Some of this outreach is set up and organized while some is not.  There are extensive databases here at the base in Oxford and plenty of resources available for preparation.  I have been spending time in prayer for our team, for unity, for divine appointments and a fuitful harvest, for confidence, to be lead by faith and not by sight, for wisdom, and of course, protection.

I want to be one who goes to the Lord FIRST.  Like it says in Isaiah 31:1, “Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help..” and then later in verse 17, “..the fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.”

Lord, help us to be men and women who hunger and thirst for righteousness believing we will be filled.
